I will be posting more of Arin and Nick’s wedding over the next few days, but I really felt it appropriate to first post this.

Like most couples, throughout the day Arin & Nick were beaming over with happiness.  Even the trolley driver was commenting to me about how happy and free spirited they were, not stressed or worrying at all.  Completely genuine, and open.  He was baffled when they asked to also grab a picture with him, obviously so impressed by their warmth.

Less than an hour into the Reception at the Casa Monica in St. Augustine, there was a small fire upstairs.  Of course we didn’t know at first, just that the fire alarms all went off.  As we evacuated, I made sure they wanted me to document it rather than being upset, and they laughed as said it was kind of funny, so to go ahead.

I took photos of the guests as they exited, and they all had to laugh at the situation.  Rather than becoming upset, Arin and Nick used the opportunity to happily socialize with everyone outside.  It was perfect weather and perfect lighting, and we even took the opportunity to take some portraits with the fire trucks.  :)

Inspire Guide: Canvases

June 17, 2010

Clients have been asking, and I have finally got it up– an inspirational guide to help with your home displays of canvases!

I have a couple new items embedded in here, too!

First, there is a discount for any complete sets purchased– at least 10% off to encourage clients to purchase creative displays.
Second, I am offering complimentary consultations on displays for clients who preorder at least $500 of canvases.
Details all available in the booklet!  I suggest going fullscreen.  ;)

If you’d like to set up a consultation, please contact me.  If you saw this and know exactly what you want, head over to The Store on my online proofing system and you can buy them right from there as well!

And tons of gorgeous weddings coming soon, lovely readers!

The Concept:

Due to a slight obsession, {Unique Designs} wanted to create a Twilight wedding invitation, an idea which blossomed into a full concept design and shoot. The intent was not to replicate Bella & Edward’s wedding, which was actually an Anne of Green Gables dress and was filled with white flowers, but to make another wedding style based on the mood and concept of Twilight. To acknowledge Edward’s personality, we chose a dramatic look with bold flowers, strong reds, and splashes of black feathers. To incorporate Bella, we wanted to take a vintage twist which can be seen in the creams, vintage brooches, and antique lace.

I have to take a moment here to recognize the extreme amount of work that Susan from The Event Divas put into this! She came out and hung a chandelier in a tree, set up a generator, added some red lights, got the tablescape together, made the flowers… I was so so impressed!

And here is a beautiful compilation of the work of two of my best friends in the wedding industry, Unique Designs’ invitation with Posh Pastry’s cake. Yum!

Want some more detail shots?!

You have to come back tomorrow. ;)

Super Secretness

October 29, 2009

the SUPER SECRET project coming soon.

SUPERSECRET

I just got so excited and had to share!  I was chatting with my 10-23-10 bride, Angie, about wedding ideas and sent her a few links and she emailed me back laughing at how she already had most of the ideas in mind.  I just love her style!  Check out this inspiration board she made:

Another idea that I LOVE is to let her girls all wear mismatched gray dresses.  It’s an incredible idea because often many of the bridesmaids have different body styles and it allows each to select something that will best complement her figure.  She sent me this image, which I instantly recognized as JCrew dresses.  Yum!
