I love my crazy-fun clients!

Tyler and Andrew actually live in South Carolina, and you can totally tell.  Tyler calls me “Miss Lindsey” and Andrew kept offering to carry my bag.  Southern charm at it’s finest. Anyway, after talking with them we decided to do the session in the morning at Rainbow Springs while they were in town. We didn’t actually PLAN to go in the water, but it was sooooo hot that the idea sounded amazing so we all jumped in fully clothed without towels.  So much fun!

They were so silly together, which is why we decided we had to end on a fun note.  ;)

They were laughing at me taking photos clothed with glasses on, so I tossed the camera to Andrew (hey, it’s in water!) and he got a behind the scenes shot. ;)

I drove over to Jax one evening to shoot Dide and EJ’s engagement session.  It’s always a little different going into an area you’re not familiar with and relying on your iPhone and the clients, but I was SO happy with their awesome locations.  And officially love that area next to the river we ended at.  We also got tons of fun variety with their choices and hilarious personalities, giggling then serious then mushy.  They were great at going from one to the other!

We had to snap a few quick pictures with the dog before I followed them around to their locations.  ;)

Just had to put these in animated fashion, too cute!  I was really expecting a Charlie Brown moment, but it didn’t happen.  ;)

Yep, I already have another awesome “About Them” to share with this engagement session, from Karla & Russell.

karla russell about them

Karla described herself as a “freakish” morning person and since I had a nonprofit event the evening of their session, we went for a bright and early 8 am session.  It was a challenge for me with the hour drive into the countryside near High Springs to their house.  I wasn’t sure yet why they wanted to start at their home… then I arrived and realized they lived on a small farm (they might disagree, but I’m sticking with the claim).  I was thrilled as I got greeted by four huge dogs (including a German Shepherd named Teebow) and we started our shoot.

With Karla’s favorite horse.  :)

You may have guessed by now that they have some affinity for animals.  ;)  Karla is actually a U.F. student who is on track to go to vet school in a few years, and of course work with some of the big animals she’s already so used to!

To add a funny story:  while we were shooting this in the field, I turned around and three cows were just inches from my back, wondering what in the world we were doing.  A couple ran off but I was totally being stalked by a friendly gray cow and she kept getting in the way as we were trying to shoot these images with the horse!  Ahhh, the adventures!

On our way to the next location, we just HAD to stop at these gorgeous wildflowers:

And for the last location: The Springs!  I think Karla and Russell enjoyed this more than my previous Springs couples since I decided to get in too with my new protective housing (big plastic bag style, i.e. Ewa-Marine case).  Karla got to feel much better seeing me squeal at the cold as much as she did.  ;)

You can just BARELY see it, but this one cracks me up because this dragonfly kept landing on Russell’s nose!

Now this last one is just for fun.  After our two hour session, I asked if they wanted to mess around more underwater with the housing with no guarantees since it was my first time shooting underwater.  Russell was my official housing tightener and losener for adjustments, haha.

Note:  next time I need goggles and possibly a snorkel because that cold water just makes me lose my breath a bit every time I go under!

Anyway, enjoy our fun underwater image, complete with fish:

Summer and Scott are geeks after my own heart.  :)

Their wedding date is 10.10.10 because it is 42 in binary, which we all know is the answer to the universe.  (Reference here for those who don’t get it.)

They also were my “pilot” couple for my new “About Him/Her” idea!  After learning so much about so many amazing couples that I have been able to know, I wanted a way to capture some of the relationship in words to go along with the images.

Now before an engagement session a couple has the option of filling out a little form with some information about each other, according to the other one.  As my “pilot” couple, Summer and Scott got a little carried away and wrote me essays about how awesome each other are (nothing wrong with that!) so partly in order to not petrify the grooms, I’m encouraging shoot answers after this, haha.

Anyway, enough babble.  Here is a little about them and their incredible relationship:

The next two are special requests from Summer and Scott.  They are apparently big on the heart hands thingamabob:

Which we can prove since both their iPhones had images of this on them!

Aly and Alex have such an awesome, relaxed style.  Cardigans and flats all reminds me of jcrew and anthropologie.  This session very much reflects their personal style as we started relaxed at University of Florida then wandered through downtown Micanopy.  Enjoy!
