We started with such a delightfully gator engagement session with Richard & Vanessa, complete with orange balloons down at the Plaza of the Americana! These two are such an incredibly fun couple, and we continued onto the UF stadium (which was under construction), and downtown for some of our downtown vibe before sunset.

Jeannie contacted me because their family wanted some images where they were nicely dressed, but also comfortable and not in contrived poses. On the day of the session, it was raining pretty hard so we ended up pulling a beautiful seat onto their patio and shooting while covered from the rain, then photographing a little outside at the end when it began to clear up. While the situations were challenging (especially with three dogs and a cat), we definitely brought out some images with real emotions of their family together.

I love this sort of “blooper” with all that is going on in the scene!

Alesha Maternity + Family

We planned Alesha’s maternity session a couple weeks in advance when we were both available… and not too soon before her due date! The day of the session was pouring rain, but knowing we might not get another chance we decided to give it a go anyway as I drove down to Orlando. The rain cleared up before the shooting, leaving us with approximately 3000% humidity in hot Florida weather. The sprinkles at the end not only made for amazing shots with my bright yellow bubble umbrella, but were such a cool relief. :)

The last part of Michelle and Jason’s preview is of their awesome Reception at the Thomas Center. I was so thrilled with the gorgeous pink lighting that G-nys Entertainment did – it really transformed the appearance of the Thomas Center, and the images are so fantastic. Pinks and purples are always flattering against skin tones at Receptions!

Continuing with Michelle and Jason’s wedding day… group photos! I love making group photos a fun experience, getting bridal parties to laugh or watching as the groomsmen do crazy and awesome things.

We couldn’t get this little guy to go to Jason, so I suggested dad just stand there and we get a funny image instead. No matter what kids do, it can become a great shot. ;)
