On September 30th, I drove over to Ashville, NC to photograph Becca and Michael’s wedding. The location was the Hidden River Events venue, which is new, but did an amazing job.
Becca works with me at the Bald Headed Bistro in Cleveland, TN, and is just such an amazing person (with an infectious personality) that I knew I had to do her wedding.
It was a rough start, with everyone running behind and trying to tie the last-minute things together… such as her dress, which had been cut much too revealing by a seamstress, and people were sewing it together just hours before the Ceremony!
This is Becca looking over her vows before the Ceremony as friends work on her hair.

The ceremony had to be pushed back two hours because of all the craziness (which meant it was during sunset and gorgeous!), so some of us, like her little sister, did have some extra time to let me take some pretty pictures ![]()

Here is another getting ready; Becca is so drop-dead gorgeous– I also added some texture for the feel of the image that I think really makes it that much more vogue.

Becca’s father looked in the front window right after she slipped on her dress, and the look on his face nearly moves me to tears… I could tell throughout the day how close they are, and how much respect and love is between them.

The guys, meanwhile, set up the sound and hung out a bit– this is Michael being a bit contemplative beforehand ![]()

Becca and her father rode in on a gorgeous carriage– it really did seem just like a fairy tale!

The Ceremony was wonderfully intimate; everything was very relaxed, the officiant was Becca’s aunt, and they laughed and talked— everyone was brimming with happiness!

While most Christian ceremonies have the couple take Communion, Michael and Becca served Communion to all their guests. Michael’s son snuck his early!

This is actually just a small moment in the middle of the tent after the Ceremony where they turned to each other.

The cake was beautiful (and delicious), made by Becca’s father.

If you have the time, head over to the Gallery to see the entire wedding! It was an amazing experience:)
