This was such an amazing day that it’s hard to know where to even start!

One of my favorite parts of my job is that I get to know so many amazing couples so well.  I knew who most of the family was already by the time Nicole and James’ wedding came, and it’s wonderful to feel so genuinely happy for the beaming couple whose day you are documenting.

So let’s start there.  The grinning groomsmen with the groom:

And the beautiful bridesmaids with our bride in her gorgeous green dress (mentioned in the previous post):

I don’t know what’s with my alliteration today, but I’ll try to keep it to a minimum.  :)

Their daughter telling the ring bearer exactly how things are supposed to be done.

But then she forgot  :(    I loved the grace and humor of Nicole and her father as they just laughed and walked down the aisle!

The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous and officiated by James’ grandfather.

My wonderful second shooter for the day, Cat Elizabeth, was kind enough to run up to the balcony to grab a wonderful wide overview of the Ceremony.  Photo is hers :)

On the recessional back out, they snuck a gorgeous kiss!

And to the reception!  Wonderful toasts:

 And hilarious kids everywhere :)

Nicole and James ended their beautiful wedding with a few romantic images, then off to the honeymoon!

Brides Against Breast Cancer

October 23, 2008

Not a photo post this time, but I wanted to let everyone know that Brides Against Breast Cancer will have a Gown Sale Event near us soon!  November 15th and 16th in Savannah, Georgia.

Brides Against Breast Cancer accepts donations of wedding gowns (some unused from shops, some used, but all in great condition) then sells them and uses the proceeds to fight Breast Cancer.  It’s a great cause to donate your used and dry cleaned gown to, and also a great way to get an amazing designer gown for an extremely low price.

Here is a copy of the flyer they have available with all the necessary information.  Be sure to visit their site at www.bridesagainstbreastcancer.org if you want more information about the events or donating your dress!

I just couldn’t resist posting this ONE photo from Nicole and James’ gorgeous, intimate wedding yesterday. (Yes, Nicole chose to wear green for her dress— and it looked AMAZING on her!)  More coming soon!

I had the great opportunity last weekend to shoot with the amazing  Mary Beth Tyson, based out of Tallahassee, FL.  Laura and Jared had the most gorgeous wedding at the Ginn Hammock Resort in Palm Coast, FL.  It was one of the most relaxing wedding days I have ever experienced!  Here are a few gorgeous images of Laura after she got ready.

I adore her dress.  I absolutely LOVED the small details of how the lace fell on her back and everything– it was absolutely perfect for her.

Laura and Jared made the decision to meet before the Ceremony in order to have a very intimate first look, as well as have some time for some great portraits.  Here is their first look:

Now to enjoy some of the incredible details :)

And the bridesmaids all had random crazy shoes with their dresses!

When MaryBeth and I were walking around previously, a guest told us he had the most amazing view of the ceremony from his room…. so I ran up and to the 8th floor and got the overview for us while MaryBeth shot the wedding :)

Monica and Jacob

October 11, 2008

Since moving to Gainesville, I have had the pleasure of meeting quite a few photographers– and becoming friends with Monica and Jacob.  They are the husband and wife team of IMJ Photography– extremely fun and talented! Anyway, we did some portrait session trading, and here are a few of my favorites from their uber fun/crazy/zany session!

They were very excited about bringing their vintage bikes along to play on, so they were the focal point of much of the session.  So adorable :)
