Virginia & Ben E-Session!

February 26, 2009

Virginia and Ben are freaking awesome.  They are both extremely busy professionals so the day we had set MONTHS prior to do our session ended up being really overcast and on the verge of rain.. but they went for it anyway and we finished JUST in time, getting a few sprinkles in the last couple shots on their hammock!

We started with a really quick part of the session downtown (moving fast because of the approaching rain).

We then went to Morningside Park — a very unique, very Gainesville-esque park due to the pines, palms, and … Indian Tee-Pee’s and huts?  Okay, well, it’s unique and was a suggestion of theirs since they have visited it together before.  :)

I suggested when we were planning that they might want to do something more conceptual and different, so their great idea was to have a tea party in a forest.  :)

So for the last part of our session, we stopped by their home for some images reflecting what life is like for them… a “normal” Sunday, if you will.

Reading in bed!  :)  (I ADORE their ultra-creative home!)

Okay so this is a bit late as their proofs were completed a while ago, but I would hate to lie and never finish up with Audrey and Nate’s images…. And I know people are dying to see a little more.  :)

These are some of the portraits from between their Ceremony and Reception.

I won’t post a lot of the “groups” but I wanted to just post one to show how relaxed and fun they were.  I asked people to laugh and hug during them for natural portraits, and they were awesome.  This one is of Audrey and her mother:

After a lunch break, we headed to various locations on University of Florida campus that Audrey and Nate wanted some images taken at… prepare for GATOR OVERLOAD!

Okay, and more seriously, other uber portraits we got while on campus…. :)

So it’s finally out… if you see a copy of Gainesville Today lying around this month, take a peek at the cover story with photos by yours truly.  :)  You might recall these images from recently on my blog!

You might also stumble on a matching billboard around town.  It’s fun to see your work all over the place!

A couple weeks ago, I had the privilege of joining Megan and Seth to shoot their engagement session.  I have actually know them since High School (Megan and I were Yearbook editors together!) so it has been so much fun re-getting to know them now while creating their beautiful images.

You might also notice that Megan was the Maid of Honor at Audrey & Nate’s wedding that I have been posting about!  :)

They wanted a more casual feel, so we started off with some appropriately-colored outfits on University of Florida campus.

We then headed to downtown around the Sun Center to get a more urban feel for the rest.
