For those of you who have been (impatiently) waiting to see Kelly and Barrett’s wedding after my previous sneak peak and details posts, here it is!  I am going to have to use all sorts of crazy adjectives to describe it, because their wedding was, as the title says: fantabulous!  Because of this fact, I have about a zillion and a half images to post here so I am going to minimize the amount of text captions so this post doesn’t take more than 5 hours to create.  We’ll see how well I actually contain myself!

The Preparation:

I just got lucky with some hilarious expressions as they were discussing the intricacies of flower placement in their hair.

When Kelly saw her makeup/hair together for the first time:

The First Look:

Kelly and Barrett decided to have their first look before their Ceremony.  This is a newer trend that is doing away with the tradition of having to wait to see each other until the Ceremony and often allows not only more time for portraits of the bride/groom and bridal party, but also allows the couple to have a private moment where they can show their emotions better than while in front of all their guests walking down the aisle.  Kelly and Barrett expressed several times how glad they were that they did the First Look and I’ll be asking them to write something about it later for any brides and grooms still trying to decide.

Well, enough babble.  See for yourself how emotional they can be:

The Bridal Party Portraits:

The following pictures prove why Kelly is one of the most relaxed, fun brides ever.  When my assistant/2nd shooter Cat and I were driving into town we saw a Carousel and fell in love with the idea of shooting on it.  So we suggested it to Kelly (thinking we’d have to do some convincing) and she readily said she’d LOVE to do it!  We just had to pick the mulch off her dress before the Ceremony!

The Ceremony:

I don’t know why I find this so amusing:

I have to put in a side comment here about the white sky.  The venue was the GORGEOUS White Room Loft in St. Augustine, FL.  They were married on the rooftop overlooking historical St. Augustine.  Unfortunately there is construction on the Bridge of Lions, but RIGHT before their Ceremony massive fog came in, completely hiding the cranes and construction from view.  And I think the white background is pretty neat looking!

I tear up when I think about how Barrett looks at Kelly.  It’s so obvious how genuine their love is.

Kelly called their first kiss “nearly indecent” but this is how it SHOULD be done (next two images):

Look closely and you see the mother of the groom touch his arm as he walks by.  I didn’t even notice when I took the image but was so touched later when I saw, especially paired with the expression you can barely see on her face.  This entire family is so amazing.

I left this detail out of the detail blog post for a little surprise.  The groom’s cake was an iPHONE!  As a total Apple fanatic (and my husband works for Apple), I was absolutely thrilled!

And therein ends my longest blog post yet!

Like Audrey and Nate’s wedding, I am going to need to post Kelly and Barrett’s in some pieces because it was so utterly amazing and there were so many moments and details (and gorgeous images) that I just can’t condense it!

Their wedding last week had some of the most AMAZING details I have ever seen.  The entire feel was light, bright, and whimsical.  Their colors were gray and yellow, and there are birds as a theme throughout as well.  Many of the details were hand-made, just like their invitations that I blogged a couple months ago and you  might remember (or click here to go to that post.)

And if you are not DYING to see the rest of this wedding, I don’t know what else can make you!

Yes, I am so mean with the detail-teasing.  :)

Yesterday’s Wedding

March 14, 2009

I just cannot WAIT to share the images from yesterday’s amazing wedding with Kelly and Barrett!

But, alas, editing takes time.

Cute sneak preview without giving too much away:

Okay I’m editing my post because I just can’t hold onto this one:

Oh my goodness, Kelly is SO gorgeous!!!!

Last Saturday, I met Kelli and Jeff in St. Augustine for their awesome engagement session.

Here’s a reminder of who this couple is (remember the hot portraits I posted a couple days ago?):

We started off with Kelli in a sexy little black dress and Jeff dressed to match.

On our way back to our cars for them to change, we had a slight issue when men with rifles starting yelling at us to turn around and go away (after yelling at some cops).  Well, I guess it was a war recreation but it was pretty difficult to navigate around the  men screaming “Move Forward!!!!” and shooting off old-fashioned rifles!

Sooo after we successfully escaped the men, they got into another outfit change and we wandered around St. Augustine some more.  :)

The last stop of the evening was at a nearby drive-on beach where we got extremely lucky– where we happened to stop had rocks going into the ocean!  We were so thrilled!

So Jeff officially wins the BEST GROOM award for dealing with everything Kelli and I wanted him to do.  Especially for this next image where I didn’t even have to ask… Kelli already knew she wanted to make out in the surf!  :)

And just for fun at the end here…

I almost forgot to post about this!

Coming up this weekend March 12-14 in Orlando will be a Brides Against Breast Cancer sale.  This organization accepts gown donations and sells them at amazing prices, and proceeds go to fight against breast cancer.  Definitely a worthwhile cause!

There will be another sale coming up May 29-31st in Ft. Lauderdale if you can’t make this one and have extra time.  :)
