Ahhhh these images just make me so happy!  We went to St. Augustine last weekend for their engagement session.  We started off at the Lightner Museum and then enjoyed the serendipity of experience that is wandering around downtown for cute little corners and walls.

I was SOOOOO thrilled when we stumbled across this colorful little wall/door!

The next area I LOVED was this wall with a grapefruit tree hanging over the top.  This, to me, was just perfectly quintessential FLORIDA!  I loved the mixture of textured grunge wall with the brightness of the fruit in the green tree and the light filtering through.  Yum!

The last place we stopped for just about 5-10 minutes as it was starting to get FREEZING was the Pier.  Both Rich and Matthew play the guitar and Rich actually works with children doing music therapy.  It was such a relaxing and beautiful experience listening to them softly sing in the sunset.

So I TOTALLY forgot to post this even though I put them up on Facebook forever ago… back when I have swine flu is the excuse Erin gave me for thinking I did, haha.

downtown, campus, and then we headed to the little park where the Twilight shoot had taken place!

I also have to note here that Erin was SUCH a sport.  It was FREEZING outside but she said that she was a Florida girl, so she was going to dress how she normally would, haha.

Another fun note: She made some accessories!  This awesome necklace in the downtown images is something she made herself!  And… of course… the mustaches!  :)

Kelli & Jeff Thank You’s!

February 23, 2010

I’m not sure I’m going to be able to get my hands on a copy to photograph since I had them drop shipped quickly from the lab, so I wanted to post the gorgeous design from Kelli and Jeff’s Thank You’s!

I know Kelli and Jeff just sent them out last week so I’m not previewing them too early!  :)

St. Augustine continues its “Night of Lights” through January, where they have millions of Christmas lights up in the city.  Brittany and I have been planning on grabbing a few nighttime images for the last year, hehe.  I love this one in both color and black and white:

Brittany & Ryan: Preview I

February 19, 2010

Brittany and Ryan are two of my warmest and most genuine clients.  It’s just such a joy to talk and spend time with them!  They were married a couple weeks ago in St. Augustine at the Government House, the Ceremony in the courtyard and then inside for the Reception.

Preparation started at the awesome Panache Salon, then some in their hotel room (yes, we got to hang out with the groom until it was time for Brittany to put on the dress, haha).

Some of the details:

Of course fitting with their wonderfully laid-back personalities, Brittany and Ryan chose to do a First Look and take care of all the family portraits before the Ceremony.  This allowed us plenty of time for relaxed portraits (until they were freezing too much, haha) and do have some casual, laughing family portraits– just the way I like them!
