I described the concept of Jon and Kayla’s wedding in the previous post and now you get to see the bright yellow and orange morning feel come to life at the wonderful Sweetwater Inn: the perfect choice to host for the feel they were going for.

The mother of the bride actually made these place cards out of seeded paper after seeing some etsy inspiration that was similar.  :)

During the best man’s speech, he talked at length about memories including their mothers and how Jon was now going to be leaving his mom and going to Kayla– at which point she ran over and grabbed him yelling “don’t go!” and everyone had such an awesome laugh:

And now, the Croquet Shots you’ve all been waiting for:

And we ended the day with our Romantic Portraits so we’d have a nice leisurely time:

The car in these portraits was a surprise rented for their exit.  It’s the same type of vehicle Kayla’s parents and grandparents drove away in.  :)

When I met Kayla and Jon last July, I was instantly blown away by their vision for their wedding.  They described to me a bright Sunday morning Ceremony followed by a reception at Sweetwater complete with breakfast buffet.  Their colors were orange and yellow and they planned on having croquet available in the grass outside the Reception hall.  I was so excited they ended up with an email with probably 20 inspirational links the next day!

The wedding was implemented to perfection.  Kayla is the only bride I know who was so thrilled and gracious that she went around hugging her vendors and telling them that the entire day was prefect.  Jon was one of the most emotional grooms I have had the honor to photograph (and when you see how gorgeous Kayla is you will understand) and the entire family was so warm and loving that I had tears in my eyes much of the day.

Enjoy the images.

Aly and Alex have such an awesome, relaxed style.  Cardigans and flats all reminds me of jcrew and anthropologie.  This session very much reflects their personal style as we started relaxed at University of Florida then wandered through downtown Micanopy.  Enjoy!

Cruisin’

March 8, 2010

No updates for the next week, as hubby and I will be cruising to the Cayman Islands and Mexico!

When I DO get back, I have quite the amazing wedding and e-session for you all!

<3’s

I’m just going to let the images speak for themselves here… for the most part.  We decided to drive around some areas near Gainesville until we hit areas we loved, and we sure did!  They were just such a perfect couple for that approach.
