I just got this UBER invitation in the mail from one of my brides today, and I have to share!
Kelly and Barrett are getting married March 13th in the gorgeous White Room Loft in St. Augustine and I simply cannot wait… and you won’t be able to either after you see how much personality this invitation has!
I need to ask her, but it looks like the pouch everything is in was HAND-SEWN to her favorite colors (yellow and gray) which are, of course, used for the wedding. The stitching is done with a perfectly matching yellow, and the trim is fantastic. I was SO excited when I opened this (yellow) envelope!

Thanks for the sweet post, Lindsey! We weren’t sure what our guests would think about a mustard yellow wedding envelope, but we went for it… glad you like it!
I love these?? I’ve seen em before, but where are brides finding them? post the link!!
Kelly, the bride, actually made the paper part and her mother sewed the pouches! Not sure if there is a place to buy them pre-made, but I’m guessing someone on Etsy would do it if you’re not that much of a “do-it-yourself”er!
I’m glad you like them, Jess! I have to admit, I was inspired to use fabric pouches for my invitations by Bird & Banner press. (www.birdandbanner.com) They have a collection called ‘Wedding on Cape Cod’ that uses a variety of pink/red fabric pouches. Even if their fabric pouches had matched my color scheme, their letterpressed invites were waaaaay out of my price range, so I took the DIY route. I printed all the pieces on my home printer and mom sewed the pouches using Amy Butler fabric. All-in-all it was a pretty fun and easy project, and only cost about 1/10th the price of the Bird and Banner invitations!
These are my inspiration for my invitations. I absolutely love them. Hopefully I can figure out how to do them!
I love Love Love This… I am so doing it for my wedding.
I love these! Can you tell me where you bought the fabric? I have been looking for this fabric and can not find it anywhere! Thanks!
I also love this idea! I would love to know where you found this fabric? I think there are so many amazing things you could tie this fabric into for a wedding. Thanks!
As a DJ and Musician I find this article pretty helpful, always need to learn!
