  • Gainesville Solution’s Bridal Expo | Booth Pics!

Last weekend, the 29th of January, was the Solution’s Bridal Expo.  I hadn’t done an expo in a little while, so I needed to do a revamp & refresh of my booth and materials.  You can consider it a compulsion, especially after I got some ideas and figured out the direction I wanted to go!  As you can see…gray and white chevron!  I painted chevron onto my booth – and it was an insane process.  I only wish I had time to do that in my house too, now!  I then got a perfect white pendant lamp with a green inside to match my brand, and built its cross-beam.  Mmm I only grabbed a camera and no flash, so these images really don’t quite do it justice!

I was (and still am) thrilled about my printed handouts.  I made accordion fold booklets with a metallic green belly band, sealed with one of my letterpress business cards (you can peel it right off to keep).  To match, I used a Mad-Libs style information card for brides at the expo (idea from my clients’ RSVP card).  It was such a great way to learn more about brides as they entered their info… and I was laughing so much reading them!

  • Megan & Matt | Wedding Preview II

After a mini-blogging hiatus while I prepared and recovered from the bridal expo this weekend, here is the rest of Megan & Matt’s wedding!

Their Ceremony was at the Gator Wesley Center on University and 13th – conveniently down the street from Sweetwater Inn.

And now… some more details!  The groomsmen gifts were incredible – unique personalized cuff links for each of their professions/personalities.  Matt’s is on the bottom right – a vintage brain, as his specialty is neuropsychology!

    I <3 Sweetwater’s lights and decoration!

  • Megan & Matt | Wedding Preview I

I just absolutely adore Megan and Matt.  They are both clinical psychology graduate students, although Matt is specifically interested in neuropsychology.  Right now they are just finishing up traveling all over the country interviewing for prestigious internships together – a very daunting task to get by yourself, and even harder when you need to find places for two people together…. although, I really can’t imagine a much more exciting way to begin your new married life together, traveling all over the country interviewing and figuring out where you are going to move together for the next adventurous phase of your life!

Their wedding in December was held at the gorgeous Sweetwater Inn, with the awesometastic Melissa of Masterpiece Weddings coordinating.

The Plant Shoppe did such an incredible job, mixing in succulents with the perfect flesh flowers.

Their reactions during a first look right after Matt turned around and they saw each other:

I love doing family portraits with the immediate family ahead of time, as everyone is so relaxed and excited (after the Ceremony, there are guests to attend to, so a lot more distractions).  This has to be one of my favorite images ever.
